You Won't Believe It! Male Redback Spider Identification & Size Compari...

Amazing side by side comparison of the Male & Female Redback Spider
using the tip of my index finger as reference, showing the incredible difference in size and appearance, between the much larger and very deadly female redback spider & the tiny male redback spider which is considered to be quite harmless due to it's tiny fangs & their inability to pierce humans skin.

The redback spider is found throughout Australia( my front and back yard is full of them) and they can be found in some very unsuspecting placing, so it's always advisable to look first before picking up any objects laying around your yard, as even a very large female redback can actually hide in the tiniest little gap or crevice.

The female redback spider's much larger than the male and with that bright red patch on their back abdomen, due to their large messy webs, usually is very easy to locate(and to distinguish) as it is very strong and often full of leaves and rubbish, as well as dead insects.
Though, often times the Female redback may just be sitting under a chair or table or under the edge of your rubbish bin or your pot plants.

The Male redback spider is harder to see at first, due to it's tiny size and totally contrasting appearance with it's white patterned back( abdomen) compared to the female large red back pattern. Once you know what to look for, you will realize just how many male redbacks are also running around your home. My advice is to always stay away if you see a female redback, as they may strike if provoked.

Fantastic Australian Laughing Kookaburra, Beautiful & Majestic Kookaburr...

Beautiful montage of the amazing Australian Laughing Kookaburra, filmed in Sydney. Amazingly, during the entire filming the Kookaburras never laughed once, whether they were hunting out in the open, or perched comfortable up high in the tress, they hardly made any sound at all.

The Kookaburra has only 4 species and is a member of the Kingfisher family, they are mostly carnivorous, eating mice, snakes, reptiles, insects and the young of other birds.

They are found in Australia, Laughing Kookaburra, Blue Winged Kookaburra.

New Guinea, Rufous Bellied Kookaburra, Spangled Kookaburra, Blue Winged Kookaburra

This was a very rare sighting. after spotting an unusual looking bird near a football oval near a large bushland reserve. The Kookaburra made no sound at all, as far as their famous laugh is concerned, so finding them nestled in the trees took some time, as they were perched almost unnoticeable amongst the thick branches and leaves.

Amazing Net Casting Spider, Fantastic Nature Footage, Wonderful Australi...

Beautiful closeup filming of the incredible Australian Net Casting Spider. The Net Casting Spider ( Also known as the Ogre Faced Spider due to it's large creepy frontal eyes) creates a small Square shaped net between it's front legs, amd uses this to capture any unsuspecting prey that may wonder to close. The Net Casting Spiders ( Deinopus subrufa, family Deinopidae) also have the habit of poising suspended in a web or on plants or grass, then pinning their back and front legs together, which creates the most unusual appearance of having two legs and two arms and their Abdomen has what looks like 2 eyes, which make it look like an actual elongated Alien Like Head.

The Net Casting spiders are not that Aggressive, and are not considered a threat to humans, though, there has been a report of their bite causing severe pain. So it's best to avoid them. They are found throughout the world, though more commonly in Tropical regions.

Fantastic Close Up Filming of an Australian Paper wasp, which can sometimes be mistaken for the deadly European wasp, due to the similar Yellow and Black stripes on their bodies.

There are over 75' 000 recognised wasp species around the world with an estimated 10'000 species in Australia alone.

Wasps come in a spectacular variety of colors, shapes and sizes.

Filmed using an Optical Zoom and Tele Macro Lens, this beautiful Footage shows the Australian Paper wasps Fabulous color and design, and like many other wasps, these wasps have are incredibly fast, and can inflict a very painful sting, and considering wasps can continually sting you over and over again, unlike bees that die after just after sticking their stingers into you,. getting stung multiple times by a wasp would be a terribly painful experience. So, it would be advisable to keep a fair distance between you and any wasps that you may encounter.

Camera & Nature Filming Tips, Always Reset Camera Settings To Match You...

As the scouts say " Always be Prepared" this definitely applies when doing nature filming. One of the most important rules to follow when doing nature filming, is to always make sure that your current camera settings match the environment your are now filming, and to always have the settings done prior to doing your Film shoot, especially considering the fact that filming wildlife scenes without having your camera setup ready, means missing out on some of the best possible footage, and you can also miss out on some very rare wonderful and beautiful scenes.

Case in Point: When filming at Cronulla Beach, Sydney last year, I arrived unprepared, as a pod of dolphins was passing by, and simply could not get the camera settings and stand( Tripod) ready in time. So I missed out this incredible opportunity to capture this Beautiful Scenery.

I have also missed many wonderful moments for the exact same reason, so always be prepared, as often your previous camera settings simply won't match up for what you are now filming, so take that little bit of extra time beforehand, you can then look back on all those fantastic moments, knowing you captured the very best results and you will have no regrets whatsoever.

Incredible Footage of a Super Fast Dragonfly with the most unusual Head & Eye Movements. The Closeup filming reveals the Beautiful facial features and bodily structure of this amazing dragonfly as well as those lighting fast wings that can propel it into Hyperspeed in a instant, well, at least fast enough to evade my camera lens.

Also, I was filming using the optical Zoom and my Tele Macro Lens setting, though, later I found out that the reason I could not get a very clear close up shot, was that I had accidently disabled the Tele - Macro Len settings, after making adjustments within the camera settings.

There are over 320 Species of Dragonfly in Australia and a whopping 6000 species Globally, Dragonflies can reach mind blowing speeds of up to 60 MPH or 97 K/ PH. They come in all shapes and sizes, as well as some incredible colors and designs.
